How Do I Recognize the Holy Spirit?

Do any of these sentiments sound familiar?

• I've never felt or heard the Holy Spirit.
• I pray and pray and pray, but I never get answers.
• I have no idea how to tell if the Holy Ghost is saying something to me.
• How do I know if this feeling or thought is from the Spirit or if it is just me?

I think these thoughts are common for many of us, and they have been for me too. Over the years I've learned a lot about how to recognize and understand the Holy Spirit's influence. Because so many others are also seeking, I wanted to share what I've learned. I hope what I share below is a blessing to you.
